TAKS-Accom / TAKS-M(replaces SDAA II and TAKS-I)  & TAKS-Alt ,  -  Assess special education students in Grades 3-10 who are receiving instruction in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) but for whom TAKS™ is an inappropriate measure of their academic progress. These tests assess the areas of reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. Students will be assessed at their appropriate instructional levels, as determined by their admission, review, and dismissal (ARD) committees, rather than at their assigned grade level. These tests are administered on the same schedule as TAKS and are designed to measure annual growth based on appropriate expectations for each student as decided by the student’s ARD committee.

Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS) - Assesses the progress that limited English proficient students (LEP) make in learning the English language through the use observations and testing in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing of the English language.
